Teddy S. Stone , 83, of Mount Hope, WV died on Monday, January 21, 2013 at Plateau Medical Center in Oak Hill, WV following a long illness Born September 09, 1929 at Kilsyth, WV he was the son of the late Seibert R. and Kathryn Bridgette Stone. Mr. Stone was retired as a CPO E7 from the US Navy after having served in the Korean Conflict and VietNam. He also retired from the Veterans Administration Hospital in Beckley. He was preceded in death by two daughters, Kathryn Ann Stone and Marsha Wiley; a son, David Franklin; and two sisters, Sarah Jane Voiers and Jean West. The family would like to extend their thanks to the staff at Plateau Medical Center for their care. Survivors include his wife, Mae E. Massey Stone; two sons, Teddy Ray Stone of Omaha, NE and Jackie Stone of Ohio; three daughters, Janie Morris of Mount Hope, Pam Hylton, Mount Hope, and Lisa Williams and husband, Fred of Glen Jean; one brother, Denny R. Stone of Stanaford and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral services will be on Thursday, January 24, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home in Mount Hope with Rev. Carlyle Blomme officiating. Burial will be at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity with military graveside rites by Oak Hill VFW Post #3110. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the funeral home. Family and friends, Lisa Williams, Fred Williams, David West, Brian Szuch, Greg Szuch and Denny Stone will serve as pallbearers.
