Susan Jane Underwood

Susan Jane Stover Underwood, age 70, of Mount Hope, WV passed away on Friday, March 29, 2019 at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley, WV.

Born September 6, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Flora Pettry Stover.

Susan was a homemaker and was a member of the Price Hill Freewill Baptist Church until its closing.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Nelson Underwood.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Kevin Underwood and his wife, Ann of Bradley, Walter Underwood, Jr. and his wife, Katherine of Mount Hope, Devon Underwood and his wife, Mary of Derry Hale, Christopher Underwood of Beckley and Rodney Underwood of Price Hill; two brothers, Bill Stover and Tracy Stover both of Winfrede; two sisters, Brenda Cecil of North Carolina and Elaine Gerald of Winfrede. Also surviving are 16 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM. Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at the Tyree Funeral Home, Mount Hope, with Eddie McNeely officiating. Burial will follow in the Bradley Cemetery.

Friends may call the funeral home one hour prior to services on Wednesday.

Susan's sons and other family will serve as pallbearers.
