Susan Ann Ratliff Hughes

Susan Ann Ratliff Hughes , 64, of Oak Hill, WV died on Thursday, June 12, 2014 at her home. Born October 04, 1949 at Oak Hill, WV she was the daughter of the late John R. and Thelma Hughes Ratliff. Susan was an active member of the LifeBridge Assembly of God in Oak Hill where she had served as worship leader and worked in Women's Ministries. She was a beloved Walmart greeter for over 20 years and made many friends through her work. A true caregiver for her family, she will be deeply missed. A brother, Kenneth Ratliff preceded her in death. Susan is survived by a loving and devoted family which includes her husband, Robert B. Hughes; daughters, Kimberly Mandakunis and husband, Jason of Oak Hill and Allison Gamon and husband, John of Elsmere, KY; sisters, Ruth Ellen Holland and husband, Dennis of Elkton, KY, and Diana Wise of Circleville, OH; and brothers, James Hughes and wife, Julie of Mechanicsville, MD, Robert Ratliff of Oak Hill, and Darrell Ratliff and wife, Janet of Circleville, OH. Susan was also survived by a sister-in-law, Marie Ratliff of Beckley; special aunt, Mary Ratliff of Fayetteville; three grandchildren, Amber and Nathan Gamon and Evan Mandakunis; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM on Sunday, June 15, 2014 with Rev. Shirlie Watson and Rev. George Mandakunis officiating. Burial will be at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill. Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill on Saturday, June 14, 2014 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
