Geneva Sue Samples

Geneva Sue Elmore Samples , 75, of Oak Hill, WV died on Thursday, June 19, 2008 at St. Mary's Medical Center in Huntington, WV. Born April 28, 1933 at Turkey Knob, Mount Hope, WV she was the daughter of the late Otha and Minnie May Hutchison Elmore. Geneva was an employee for McDonalds of Oak Hill. She formerly attended the Methodist church. Her husband, Ralph Dare Samples preceded her in death on July 19, 2000. She was also preceded by a sister, Ruby Spessard and brothers, Junior Elmore and Pinto Elmore. Survivors include one son, Rick Samples of Oak Hill; two daughters, Kathy Lucas and husband, Jim of Burnwell and Tammy Smith of Aiken, SC; two brothers, Eddie Elmore of Oak Hill and Billy Elmore of Beckley and three sisters, Lois Smith of Oak Hill, Linda Rainey of Hilltop and Carol Smith of Beckley. Also surviving are three grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Services will be on Sunday, June 22, 2008 at 1:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill with Rev. Rick Walker officiating. Entombment will be at High Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum, Oak Hill WV. Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home on Saturday, June 21, 2008 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM.
