Stephen W. "Jack" Markham, Sr.

Stephen "Jack" Wayne Markham, Sr., 72, of Milton, WV formerly of Mount Hope, WV died on Monday, June 16, 2008 at St. Mary's Medical Center in Huntington, WV. Born February 17, 1936 at Cirtsville, WV he was the son of the late William and Wilma Painter Markham. He was a member of the Packs Branch Baptist Church Jack retired from the Kroger Warehouse in Charleston. He was a US Air Force veteran with 8 years service and retired from the WV Air National Guard with 12 years service. He was a member of the Teamsters Union Local #125 of Charleston. His wife, Carol Sue Holley Markham preceded him in death. Survivors include two sons, Stephen W. Markham and wife, Adrena of Milton and William Markham and wife, Merrit of Pax; one daughter, Lisa Lovelace and husband, John of Maple Fork; three brothers, Mike Markham of Beaver, Roger Markham of Long Branch and Gene Markham of Pikeville, KY and by three sisters, Mary Dunbar of Cleveland, OH, Barbara Krueger of Napa, CA and Patricia Bell of Upper Marlboro, MD. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, Chris Lovelace, Michael Markham, Andrea Markham, Gary Markham, Christopher Markham, Kevin Markham and Emily Markham. Services will be on Thursday, June 19, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. at Tyree Funeral Home, Mount Hope with Pastor Sam Vance officiating. Burial will be at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens, Oak Hill WV. Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 18, 2008 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM. Stephen Markham, Jr., William Markham, Chris Lovelace, Gary Markham, Doug Holley and Jeff Surgeon will serve as pallbearers.
