Stella "Maxine" Hamilton

Our loving mother, mawmaw and "mawmaw great", Stella "Maxine" Painter Hamilton, 83, of Oak Hill, WV died on Friday, May 11, 2007 at Plateau Medical Center in Oak Hill, WV. Born August 14, 1923 at Lucas, WV she was the daughter of the late Henry E. and Lana Terry Painter. She was a retired cook for Fayette County Schools. Mrs. Hamilton was a member of the Fellowship Memorial Baptist Church, Oak Hill, WV. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Hamilton, Jr. on July 10, 1995 and by several brothers and sisters. Survivors include one daughter, Diana Preast and husband, Billy of Gauley Bridge, WV; two sons, Arthur L. Hamilton and wife, Kathy of Oak Hill, WV and James G. Hamilton and wife, Sherry of Oak Hill, WV; one sister, Hattie Sunderland of Glen Burnie, MD; seven grandchildren, Jamie Hamilton, Kimberly Wiley and husband, Shane, Angie Spelock and husband, Eric, Scott Preast and wife, Nicky, Joshua Hamilton and wife, Kristy and Kara Kucner and husband, Drew; two great grandchildren, Morgan Nicole Preast and Kaelyn Tyler Wiley and a special niece Linda Smith and husband, Jim of Lexington, SC. Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill on Monday, May 14, 2007, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Services will be on Monday, May 14, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill with Rev. Mack Canterbury officiating. Burial will be at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill WV. Joshua Hamilton, Scott Preast, Drew Kucher, Cam Ford, Matt Ford will serve as pallbearers.
