Stanley E. "Eddie" Cody

With his parents, siblings and a close friend by his side, Stanley Edward Cody, 26, of Scarbro, WV, affectionately known as "Eddie" to most, died on Tuesday, March 10, 2009 at the UPMC in Pittsburgh, PA Born April 7, 1982 at Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley, WV, he was the son of Stanley H. and Kathy Withrow Cody of Scarbro. Eddie was born with complications and was sick most of his little life. However, that never stopped him from helping others. He was always willing to lend a helping hand, was generous and kind hearted. He loved everyone and was a stranger to no one. Eddie was truly an angel among us who touched the lives of many. In addition to his parents, those left to cherish his memory are a brother, Aaron Cody and his fiancée' Misti; sister, Amy Thompson and husband, Roger; niece and nephew whom he loved dearly, Makayla Thompson and Dalton Cody; maternal grandfather, Jimmy Withrow as well as several aunts, uncles and numerous cousins. Stanley and Kathy wish to thank all of their family and friends for helping with and loving Eddie. It is greatly appreciated. There are too many to list but you know who you are so - THANK YOU! Services will be on Monday, March 16, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill with Rev. Bobby Pauley and Dave Painter officiating. Eddie will be laid to rest next to his cousin and grandparents at the Bibb Cemetery at Gatewood, W. Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill on Sunday, March 15, 2009 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM.
