Stacey Gail Rakes

Our sunshine baby is now where the SON shines forever. At the end of this life is an open door and beyond that threshold, there is peace. Stacey Gail Rakes was an earth angel who touched many lives. We rejoice in knowing that all of her severe handicaps are gone and she is whole and running through the streets of Heaven. In her brief life, even with all her disabilities, she touched countless lives. Born April 01, 1974 at Beckley, WV, Stacey Gail Rakes , 38, of Oak Hill, WV died on Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at Plateau Medical Center in Oak Hill, WV. She was a much loved member of the Oak Hill Church of the Nazarene. Stacey is survived by her devoted parents, Sherri Blake Groves and Terry "Papa T" Groves, two sisters, Nikki Hall and husband, Keith of Fairdale and Lisa Brown and husband, Marc of Phoenix, AZ, and nieces and nephews, Brittany Alderman and husband, Lewis, Courtney Cook and husband, Mike, Corey Brown, Coty Brown, and Tyler Brown. Also surviving are her very special great nieces and nephews, Madisyn, London, Kendra, Michael, Hunter and Legend, her wonderful church family and her father, Paul Rakes of Oak Hill. Funeral services will be on Sunday, September 30, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at the Oak Hill Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Jerry Bush officiating. Burial will be at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens, Oak Hill. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Sunday at the church. Men of the church will serve as pallbearers.
