Sidney Charles Lucas

Sidney Charles Lucas, 83, of Livonia, MI formerly of Oak Hill, WV died on Friday, November 23, 2007 at Pontiac Osteopathic Hospital in Pontiac, MI. Born June 19, 1924 at Sun, WV he was the son of the late John and Ada Belle Fitzgerald Lucas. He was employed for the railroad at Cotton Hill for 12 years after which he was a supervisor in the food industry in Michigan. Sidney was a World War II veteran of the US Army Air Force in which he served with the 2003rd Ordinance and Maintenance. He was preceded in death by his wife, Beryl Henderson Lucas and a sister, Ruth Dunn. Survivors include son, John Lucas and wife, Christine of Highland, MI; two daughters, Karen Paul and husband, Richard of Commerce, MI and Kimberly Pisko and husband, Matthew of Livonia, MI; two sisters, Mary Jane King of Oak Hill, WV and Gloria Meeks of Miami, FL; six grandchildren, John E. Lucas, Mike Lucas, Lori Lucas, Erin Krichmar, Christopher Paul and Mackenzie Pisko and two great grandchildren, Alyssa Caleb and John Christian Services will be on Saturday, December 1, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill with Rev. Jimmy Menefee officiating. Burial will be at Hilltop Cemetery, Hilltop WV with military graveside rites by VFW Post #3110 of Oak Hill. Friends may call one hour prior to the service Saturday at the funeral home.
