Shirley Ann McVey Wroten , 77, of Oak Hill, WV died on Sunday, June 21, 2015 at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley, WV.
Born March 23, 1938 at Terry, WV she was the daughter of the late Carlos and Elsie Wiley McVey.
Mrs. Wroten was a member of the SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church Oak Hill where she was a member of the Ladies Guild and Senior Circle.
Her husband, Frank W. Wroten, Jr. preceded her in death as did brothers, Charles McVey, Curtis McVey, William McVey and Otie Joseph McVey; and sister, Deloris Slaughter.
Survivors include her only son, Jack Wroten and wife, Terri Price of Summersville; and sisters, Geraldine Copley of Oak Hill, Donna Culip of Flat Top, Brenda McVey of Charleston, SC and Mary Carte of South Carolina.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, June 25, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Oak Hill with Father Carlos Melocoton officiating. Burial will be at High Lawn Memorial Park., Oak Hill, WV.
Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM with Rosary at 7:30 PM and friends may call one hour prior to the service on Thursday, June 25, 2015 at the church.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Bowers Hospice House, 454 Cranberry Drive, Beckley WV 25801.
