Shirley E. Williams

Shirley E. Williams,88, of Packs Branch, WV died Monday, June 4, 2007 at the Appalachian Regional Hospital in Beckley, WV after a long illness. Born April 5, 1919 at Packs Branch, he was a son of the late Rev. John B. and Hallie Lafferty Williams. He was a retired post office carrier and a member of the Packs Branch Missionary Baptist Church where he served as the Senior Deacon. He was a veteran of World War II where he served in the Army Air Force. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Mary Jane Wriston and one son, John Eugene Williams. Survivors include his wife, Dora Shupe Williams, two sons, Gary Williams and wife, Brenda of Mount Hope, Dennis Williams and wife, Robin of Rt. 1, Mount Hope, three daughters, Karen Evans and husband, Ab of Mount Hope, Elaine Wriston and husband, Perry of Mineral Wells, and Shirley Dale Williams of Mount Hope, five grandchildren, Jonathan Williams, Gary D. Williams, Perry J. Wriston, Amy Wriston, and Emily Allen; two great grandchildren, Etha Wriston and Braden Allen. Service will be 11:00 AM Friday, June 8, 2007 at Tyree Funeral Home in Mount Hope with Pastor Sam Vance officiating. Burial will be at the Williams-Argabright Family Cemetery at Packs Branch. Friends may call Thursday, June 7, 2007,from 6:00 until 9:00 PM at Tyree Funeral Home in Mount Hope.
