Shirley Jean Nester Whaples , 62, of Fayetteville, WV went to her heavenly Father's house on Monday, February 16, 2015 at Plateau Medical Center in Oak Hill, WV.
Born January 25, 1953 at Spencer, WV she was one of four daughters of Mildred Lowe Nester of Belle, WV and the late Charles Foster Nester.
She was a homemaker. Before her sickness Shirley enjoyed spending her time with family and shopping and loved flowers.
Her husband of 42 years, David Whaples preceded her in death on January 14, 2014. She was also preceded by a sister, Catherine Nester on April 4, 2014.
Shirley leaves behind a loving family which in addition to her mother includes daughter, Stacy Dalton of Fayetteville; son, Charles Whaples of Fayetteville; sisters, Mary Ashcraft of Belle and Judith Nester of Belle; two grandsons, Dustin Whaples of Fayetteville and Michael Wright of Asheboro, NC; and three granddaughters, Kayla Wright of Asheboro, NC, Jasmine Daniels Whaples of Fayetteville and Ariel Whaples of Fayetteville.
Funeral services will be on Friday, February 27, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill with Rev. Pat Franklin officiating Burial will be at Huse Memorial Park, Fayetteville. Friends may call one hour to the service on Friday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Dustin Whaples, Adam Ashcraft, Richard Young, Darek Young, Jacob Ashcraft and Jasmine Daniels.
