Shirley Ann Toler

Shirley Ann Langston Toler, 91, of 1116 Moran Ave, Mullens, WV died at her home on Saturday, October 19, 2024 surrounded by love. Shirley was a fighter and, in that spirit, fought until her last breath. She loved her life.

Shirley was the daughter of the late George J Langston and Ann Crueger Langston and was born in Havre Montana on May 25, 1933.

After moving to Mullens in 1959, Shirley worked with her beloved husband Byron in their insurance agency, Mullens Insurance Agency, until retiring in 1993. Shirley loved working, and was proud to work, but always took time to shuttle her West Mullens boys to and from Twin Falls State Park for days at the pool. 

Shirley loved her family with all her heart and missed no opportunity to brag on all of them.

Shirley is survived by her beloved son Robert J “Bob” Toler and Donna Holt, of Beckley, granddaughters Kealy Breton and her husband Justin of Bolt, WV and Amy Vucurevich and her husband Nick of Daniels, WV, sisters Sylvia Hatfield of Miami, FL and Edith Knickerbocker of Xenia, Ohio, great grandchildren Alexander, Adaline and Archer Breton and Colton, Carson and Clara Vucurevich, numerous nieces and nephews and a large list of loving caregivers who saw to it that Shirley's wishes were granted of living out her life in her home. Shirley was preceded in death by her husband Bryon, who she treasured unconditionally. 

Committal service and entombment will be held 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at Resthaven Memorial Park Mausoleum, Princeton, WV with Rev. Lewis Arnold officiating. 

Friends may call one hour prior to services Wednesday at the mausoleum.
