Shirley Ann (Jackson) Lukie

Shirley Ann Jackson Lukie, 90, of Mount Hope passed away on Saturday, December 14, 2024, in Mary's Gardan at Hidden Valley Center Home in Oak Hill.

Born December 5, 1934, in Oak Hill, WV she was the daughter of the late Roy and Creta Martin Jackson.

Shirley was a homemaker and attended the Mount Hope Christian Church, and in her leisure she enjoyed playing Bingo, volunteering at Plateau Medical Center, watching WVU football which she loved, and Gardening. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society Club and was a cheerleader at Mount Hope High School. She especially loved being surrounded by her family.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Ernest Lukie; her parents, Roy Jackson and Creta Martin Jackson; special son, Samuel (Sammy) Gregory; sisters, Helen Adams and Jean Seletyn; brothers, Jimmy Jackson, Jerry Jackson, and Buddy Jackson.

Those left to cherish her wonderful memory include her loving daughter, Tammie Chinn (David); granddaughter, Sarah Haye, and husband Daniel Haye, great grandchildren, Nash and Rhett; grandson, Nicholas Miller, and wife Andrea, great grandchildren, Gabriel and Rachel; grandson, Corey Miller, and wife Amanda; and grandson, Jayden Fairchild; sister, Sandra "Sandy: Jackson Patricia Weidensall; brother, Roy "Rick" Jackson; special daughter-in-law, Linda Gregory; special grandchildren, Anthony Gregory (Kelli), Jason Gregory (Lisa), and Samuel Gregory, Jr. (Teresa); and many special great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be 1:00 PM on Friday, December 20, 2024, at Tyree Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Hope. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens in Prosperity.

Visitation for friends will be from 12:00 Noon until 1:00 PM at the funeral home in Mount Hope on Friday, December 20, 2024.

In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations of sympathy be made to Mary's Garden in Hidden Valley Center 422 23rd Street Oak Hill WV, 25901 for making her always feel special.
