Shirley Gene Givens Stover

Shirley Gene Givens Stover, age 76, of Hurricane, WV, formerly of Pax, WV, passed away on Saturday, August 27, 2011 at her home in Hurricane, WV. Born June 29, 1935 at Chandler Branch, Charleston, WV, she was the daughter of the late Samuel Fleet and Othel Morris Givens. Mrs. Stover was a homemaker and a member of the Good Shepherd Church at Hurricane, WV. She was preceded in death by her husband, Don Stover, by 3 brother, Morris, Lyndon and Samuel Givens and by a sister, Virginia Carr. Surviving are her son, Timothy Stover of Poca, her daughter, Kelli Donn Finley of Hurricane, WV, two grandchildren, Donald Forest Finley and John Curtis Finley, both of Hurricane, WV. Also surviving is her sister Carole Harding of Locust Grove, VA. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 31, 2011at the Tyree Funeral Home, Mount Hope with Rev. Don Myers of Hurricane officiating. Burial will follow in Pax Community Cemetery at Pax, WV. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, August 31, 2011 one hour prior to services.
