Shirley Jean Slavey Ford , 77, of Mount Hope, WV died on Friday, May 15, 2015 at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley, WV.
Born September 29, 1937 at Alexandria, VA she was the daughter of the late Wiley and Ethel Browning Slavey.
She was a former cab driver.
Mrs. Ford was a Protestant.
Her husband, Armistead Lee Ford, Sr. and a brother, Wiley Slavey preceded her in death.
Survivors include son, Armistead Ford, Jr. of Mount Hope; three daughters, Shirl Koone of Mount Hope, Tina Armentrout of Bradley and Lisa McKinney and husband, David of Sophia; brother, Curtis Slavey of Beckley; and ten grandchildren.
In accordance with her wishes, Mrs. Ford was cremated. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
