Sherman Max Scarbrough , 72, of Fayetteville, WV died on Sunday, February 26, 2012 at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley, WV. Born April 11, 1939 at Fayetteville, WV he was the son of the late Wesley and Margaret Simms Scarbrough. He was a self employed carpenter. Mr. Scarbrough was a US Marine Corps veteran. Survivors include his wife, Carroll Sue Scarbro Scarbrough, two sons, Darroll Wayne Scarbrough of Fayetteville and Jasen Randell Scarbrough of Beckley, three daughters, Melissa June Halstead of Mt. Lookout, Lora Lynn Martin of Summersville and Jody Lee Halstead of Mt. Lookout, three brothers, Kenny Scarbrough of Virginia, Ricky Scarbrough of Fayetteville and Mike Scarbrough of Fayetteville, two sisters, Marilyn Richards of Fayetteville and Karen Slaughter, and six grandchildren, Joseph Sherman Halstead, Rachel Halstead, David Michael Halstead, Zachary Martin, Kaitlyn Scarbrough and Jasen Scarbrough. In accordance with his wishes, Mr. Scarbrough was cremated. There will be no visitation or service.
