Surrounded by his family, Sherman Guy Hannah , 81, of Kincaid, WV passed away at his home on Monday, March 29, 2010. Born March 13, 1929 at Beards Fork, WV he was the son of the late Zona and Velma Elizabeth Coleman Hannah. Mr. Hannah was a member of the House of Prayer at Page. He was a retired coal miner with 44 years service. The Hannah family would like to thank Hospice of Southern West Virginia and Bowers Hospice House for their wonderful care. A brother, Everett Hannah and a sister, Norma McMillion preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Drema Raynes Hannah; one son, Mark Hannah of Kincaid; one daughter, Anita Hannah Brown and husband, Jay Turner of Capon Bridge, WV and four sisters, Virginia Dragany of Cleveland, OH, Mattie Weaver Saxton and husband, Don of South Charleston, Eva Shawkey of Maryville, TN and Mary Frances Gee of Kincaid. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Shawn Brown, Lori Brown and Casey Hannah Davis and husband, Chad and three great grandchildren, Tyler Brown, Cody Brown and Ashton Davis. Services will be on Friday, April 2, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill with Rev. Randy Sunderland and Rev. Gail Raynes officiating. Entombment will be at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Prosperity. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home.
