Sharon Jenkins Schoffner Hancock

Sharon Kristen Jenkins Schoffner Hancock , 64, of Scarbro, WV died on Monday, March 14, 2011 at the UVA Medical Center in Charlottesville, VA. Born December 30, 1946 at Carlisle, WV she was the daughter of the late James Christian and Garnett Prather Jenkins. Mrs. Hancock was a member of the New Beginning Church of God at Glen Jean and a homemaker. A brother, Charles H. "Jack" Jenkins and an infant sister, Mary E. Jenkins preceded her in death. Survivors include her husband, John Calvin Hancock, Jr., son, John C. Schoffner and wife, Beth of Sidney, OH, daughter, Tina L. Hodge of Troy, OH, stepson, John C. Hancock, III and wife, Trisha of Oak Hill, one brother, James W. Jenkins and wife, Karen of Madison, four sisters, Rose Grindstaff of Racine, OH, Sara Woodson of Virginia Beach, VA, Alice Berry of Oak Hill and Helen Suzan Jones and husband, Lewis of Oak Hill, eight grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Hancock has been cremated. A memorial service will be on Saturday, March 26, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. at the New Beginning Church of God in Glen Jean with Pastor John Pack officiating.
