Sharlet Jane Smith

Sharlet Jane Smith, 84, of Amigo, formerly of Runa, West Virginia and Sandusky, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, March 9, 2025 at Bowers Hospice House, Beckley. 

Born March 16, 1940, at Runa, WV, she was the daughter of the late Roy D. Pitsenbarger and Iva Bell (Moore) Pitsenbarger. 

Sharlet was a graduate of Sandusky, Ohio High School, former Teachers Aide and worked for Home Healthcare in Erie County Ohio. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was a 17 year resident of Runa, West Virginia and a member of the Madeline Freewill Baptist Church. 

In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband, William Bill Smith; son, Stanley Smith; daughter-in-law, Jeannie Smith; and three brothers. 

Those left to cherish her memory include two daughters, Rhonda Cadle (Don) of Amigo and Sara Jackson (Jeff) of Sandusky, OH; two sons, Kevin Smith of Sandusky, OH and Jerry Smith (Annei) of Norwalk, OH; 19 grandchildren; and 18 great grandchildren

In keeping with Sharlet's wishes, she will be cremated and a memorial service will be held 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at the Madeline Freewill Baptist Church, Amigo with Rev. Charlie Bolen and Rev. Joe Cadle officiating. 

Friends may call one hour prior to services Wednesday at the church.
