Shannon Dale Cobb , 44, of Stanley, NC formerly of Kincaid, WV died on Monday, May 30, 2011 in Charlotte, NC. Born April 27, 1967 at Oak Hill, WV he was the son of Dorothy Lee “Dot” Stonestreet Cobb of Kincaid, WV and the late Delbert Wilson Cobb. Shannon was an Underground Boring Supervisor for Xtreme Services in Gastonia, NC. He was a graduate of Oak Hill High School and enjoyed fishing. In addition to his mother, Shannon is survived by a son, Seth B. Cobb of Pineville, NC, two sisters, Christine Cobb Whittaker and husband, Terry of Radford, VA and Karen Cobb Romine and husband, Jeff of Kincaid and his fiance, Shelly Taylor of Stanley, NC. Services will be on Friday, June 3, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill with Rev. Jeff Floyd officiating. Burial will follow at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home. Eddie Dorman, Terry Whittaker, Kris Rader, Scott Stonestreet, Robert Stonestreet and Jeff Romine will serve as pallbearers.
