Sarah Stone Voiers

Sarah Jane Stone Voiers, 72, of Bradley,WV passed away Wednesday, March 22, 2006 at Charleston Area Medical Center, Memorial Division, Charleston, WV following a short illness. Born September 30, 1933 at Kilsyth, WV, she was the daughter of the late Seibert Ray and Ruth Kathryn Bridgette Stone. At the age of six, she moved with her family to Oswald. Sarah was retired from the Raleigh County Housing Authority. She also worked for many years at Blackburn and Patteson Real Estate in Bradley and Regent Machinery in Beckley. She was the manager of Hope Landing Apartments in Mount Hope at the time of her death. She is survived by a son, Dennis K. Voiers, Sr. and his girlfriend, Diana of Bradley; a grandson, Dennis K. Voiers, Jr. and his wife, Amanda of Bradley; step daughter, Donna Murray of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; one sister, Jean Stone West of Prosperity; two brothers, Denny Stone of Stanaford and Ted Stone and his wife, Mae of Mount Hope; many nieces and nephews, several of whom she lovingly helped to raise, Pamela L. Hylton of Mount Hope, Jack Stone and Jane Morris of Canton, Ohio, Teddy Ray Stone of Omaha, Nebraska; and a great niece, Amy M. Wood of Greenville, South Carolina. She also had two great great nieces, Amanda and Lacie Wood of Greenville, South Carolina. Sarah touched the lives of many people, always giving her love and friendship while expecting nothing in return. She will be deeply missed by her family and her many friends. Service will be 2:00 PM Sunday, March 26, 2006, at Tyree Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Hope, WV with Pastor Vernon R. Chittum officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity. Friends may call from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Saturday, March 25, 2006, at the funeral home.
