Sarah Delores Carper Peters

Sarah Delores Carper Peters, 80, of Kincaid, WV went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 25, 2013 in Florence, Mississippi. Mrs. Peters took care of her family and was a very devoted member of the Page Baptist Church. She taught Sunday school, vacation bible school and took on many other active roles for the church. Mrs. Peters was preceded in death by her son, Vernon Peters II and her siblings. She is survived by her husband, Vernon Peters of Kincaid, WV; daughter, Vicki (Lowell) Poe of Florence, MS; grandchildren, Wayne Poe, Kevin (Terra) Poe all of Florence, MS and Vernon Peters III, Jennifer (Marshall) Tincher all of Kincaid, WV; 10 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. “Her children rise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her.” Proverbs 31:28. Funeral services will be at 2:00 P. M. Monday, December 30, 2013 at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Monday. Pallbearers will be, Wayne Poe, Kevin Poe, Nathan Peters, Marshall Tincher, Rick Hogan and Sidney Price.
