Sarah Burwick

Sarah Leotia Rucker Burwick, 97, of Minden, WV died on Monday, September 15, 2003 at Plateau Medical Center in Oak Hill, WV following a short illness. Born June 27, 1906 at Devon, Wayne County, WV she was the daughter of the late William Henry Rucker and Claudie Workman Rucker Browning. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Burwick; son-in-law, Marlon Workman; brothers, Andrew and Frank Rucker; sister, Dorsia Craft and by two infant brothers, Lloyd and Addia Rucker. Survivors include: Daughter, Frankie Gaynell Workman who was born at Rush Run and now resides at Gatewood Sister, Billie Jean Withrow of Weston 8 grandchildren 7 great grandchildren 2 great great grandchildren Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill on Tuesday, September 16, from 6:00 - 8:00 pm Services will be on Wednesday, September 17, 2003 at 11:00 A.M. at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill with Rev. Bill Menefee officiating. Burial will be at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Beckley WV.
