Sandra Beth (Comstock) Ferguson

Sandra Beth Ferguson May 20, 1934 - November 21, 2024

Sandra died peacefully at her home surrounded by family. Sandra was the daughter of Jim Comstock and Ola Comstock of Richwood, WV. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Ferguson and by a grandson, Christopher Ferguson.

She is survived by her sister, Elaine Nagy of Richmond, Virginia and a brother, Jay Comstock of Richwood, WV, her special friend, Don Goldstein of Norfolk, Virginia, son, Mark Ferguson (Gina) of Charleston, daughter, Beth Ferguson Gardner of Fayetteville, and son, Brian Ferguson of Fayetteville, grandson, Joel Fernett (Randi) of Fayetteville, Laura Fernett of Fayetteville, Jamie Ferguson of Charleston, WV, Sarah Kelleher (Chris) of Boston, and Mary Caroline Ferguson of Charleston. She is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren.

Sandra was an avid bridge player, gardener, and reader. She enjoyed many afternoons with her close friends playing bridge. She was also an English Teacher at Richwood High School and Fayetteville High School for many years.

Thank you to her bridge friends for the support and cards during her illness. A special thank you also to Glennys Legg, her caregiver, who helped us look after Mom. It meant the world to the family to be able to keep her at home during her last months. We also appreciate the care and support from Hospice of Southern WV and Amedisys Home Health.
