Samuel W. "Moon" Mullins, 84, of Tampa, FL formerly passed away Friday, March 26, 2004. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Beverly S. Mullins. Moon was a graduate of Oak Hill High School where he was an outstanding athlete and a member of the OHHS Alumni Association. Mr. Mullins was a member of the Elks Lodge (Gandy) and was o the Board of Directors for the Railroad Industrial Credit Union. He was a Staff Sergeant in the US Marines from 1941-1945 and worked for the ACL/CX Railroad and Amtrak for 45 years. Known as "Moon" by his railroad coworkers and friends he also loved to fish and hunt. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Ruth J. Mullins; daughter, Patricia Mullins Colbert; sons, Samuel W. Mullins , Jr. and wife Connie and Ted M. Mullins; step sons Bill and Art Buntyn; two grandchildren, Beverly Ann Mullins and Ted M. Mullins, Jr.; and by several nieces and nephews. Service will be held at 12:30 pm on Tuesday, March 30, 2004 at the Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4207 E.
