Samuel A. French, Jr.

Samuel Albert French, Jr., 74, of Oak Hill, WV died on Sunday, March 23, 2008 at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Beckley, WV. Born September 21, 1933 at Minden, WV he was the son of the late Samuel A. French, Sr. and Dora Latham French. Mr. French was a carpet installer for Lee's Carpet. He served in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict. His daughter, Kathy Sue Wilson preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife, Madge Darlene "Ginger" Smithson French; two sons, Samuel A. French, III of Leesburg, FL and Mark Steven French and wife, Dottie of Oak Hill; one sister, Gladys Davis of West Virginia; six grandchildren, Kelvin Warren Wilson, II and wife, Jennifer, Kimberly Dawn Meador and husband, Herb, III, Kristoffer Samuel Mark Wilson and wife, Keri, Kristin Marie Shrewsbury and husband, Justin, Kara Ashley French and Sonny Keller and ten great grandchildren. Services will be on Friday, March 28, 2008 at 1:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill with officiating. Burial will be at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill WV. Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill on Thursday, March 27,2008 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM. Pallbearers will be Roy Lee, Mark French, Samuel French, Kelvin Wilson, II,Kristoffer Wilson and Doug Wilson.
