Ruth M. Mullins

Ruth McKay Taylor Mullins, 79, of Terry, WV departed for her heavenly home on Monday, May 01, 2006 at Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley, WV. Born April 30, 1927 at Cunard, WV she was the daughter of the late William Franklin and Lula Pennington Taylor. She was a former employee for the Raleigh County Board of Education with the transportation department and a homemaker. Mrs. Mullins was a member of the Terry Independent Christian Church, Terry, WV. Her husband, Paul Eugene Mullins preceded her in death on January 9, 2004. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family having been preceded by two brothers, Henry and Billy Taylor and four sisters, Nellie Stotts, Lucille Buckland, Lena Higgins and Pearl Arnold. Those left to cherish her memory are her two sons, Donald Mullins of Terry Beach and David Mullins and wife, Cara, of Oak Hill; two daughters, Bonnie Hudson and husband, Freddie, and Brenda Christy, who was also her caregiver, all of Terry Beach; 12 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Graveside rites and committal service will be on Friday, May 5, 2006 at 1:00 P.M. at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens in Oak Hill with Rev. Gene Hall officiating. Burial will be at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens, Oak Hill WV. There will be no visitation.
