Ruth Ann Allen

Ruth Ann Sunday Allen, 87, of Beckley, WV died on Sunday, November 16, 2008 at Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley, WV. Born May 11, 1921 at Scarbro, WV she was the daughter of the late Andrew "Andy" and Myrtle Stewart Sunday. She was a former sales clerk for G.C. Murphy & J.C. Penney. Mrs. Allen was a member of the Trinity Presbyterian Church, Shady Spring and a past officer of the West Virginia Presbyterian Women. A sister, Eleanor Woods and a brother, Donnie Sunday preceded her in death. Survivors include husband, Kyle Lewis Allen, Jr.; one daughter, Rose Ann Spencer of Parkersburg; a son, Kyle Lewis Allen,III of Casselberry, FL; two brothers, William Sunday of Warren, Mich. and Jack Sunday of Cincinnati, OH and three sisters, Sylvia Starks of Battle Creek, Mich., Carol Marcus of Huntsville, Ala. and Charlotte Land of Lillian, Ala. She is also survived by one granddaughter, Karen Boso and husband, Bryan of Westerville, OH and two great grandchildren, Megan Elizabeth and Kaitlyn Marie Boso. Services will be on Wednesday, November 19, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill with Rev. Greg Stone officiating.
