Russell L. "Rusty" Riffe, Jr.

Russell Lewis "Rusty" Riffe, Jr., 61, of Hampton, VA formerly of Oak Hill, WV died Tuesday, July 12, 2005 at his home. He was the son of Rachael Bragg Riffe of Oak Hill, WV and the late Russell Lewis Riffe, Sr. Rusty was a 1962 graduate of Collins High School in Oak Hill. He had been a resident of Hampton for over 35 years and retired from the US Air Force in 1982. Survivors include his beloved wife of 34 years, Mieko Riffe; one daughter, Rebecca Elaine Foster and husband, William, of Gloucester, VA; one son, Mark Riffe and wife, Janet Hope, of Hampton, VA; one sister, Rhonda Riffe Sutphin of Oak Hill, WV and two grandchildren, Samuel Lewis and Noah Markson. A military funeral service will be conducted at 12:00 PM Friday, July 29, 2005, at Quantico National Cemetery in Triangle, VA with burial to follow. Arrangements are by Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home, 2551 North Armistead Avenue, Hampton, VA.
