Russell E. "Rusty" Edwards, Jr. , 62, of Oak Hill, WV died on Saturday, November 02, 2013 at CAMC - Memorial Division in Charleston, WV. Born August 10, 1951 at Oak Hill, WV he was the son of the late Russell E. Edwards, Sr. and Etta Jean Holdren Edwards, Sr. He was a construction Crane Operator. Rusty was a motorcycle enthusiast and and avid fisherman and hunter. He was a 1969 graduate of Collins High School in Oak Hill. He was a US Navy veteran of the Vietnam Conflict. His wife, Virginia Lynn Edwards and a special sister, Dori Saunders preceded him in death. Survivors include his son Jeremy Edwards of Amherst, VA; his daughter, Kari Jean Edwards of Madison Heights, VA; four grandchildren, Katlin Doss, Raven Brewer, BriAnna Skylar Edwards and Jeremy Edwards, Jr.; a sister, Susan Edwards of Fayetteville and a special niece, Robin Thomas DiBartolomeo and family Rusty has been cremated. A memorial service will be on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill with Pastor Scott Farnsworth officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Red Cross, Fayette-Nicholas Chapter, PO Box 355, Oak Hill WV 25901 for First Aid education.
