Russell Gene Evans , 67, of Sand Branch, WV died on Friday, January 03, 2014 at his home, Born April 01, 1946 at Montgomery, WV he was the son of the late William Pierce and Della Pearl Lester Evans. He was a retired truck driver for the coal mining industry. His wife, Charlotte Mae (Evans) Evans preceded him in death as did brothers, Charles Evans, Basil Evans, Gary Evans, Mason Evans, Ernest Evans and Roger Evans and sister, Estell Painter. Survivors include one brother, Bill Evans of Fargo, NC, three sisters, Juanita Blankenbeckler of Sand Branch, Annabell Daniel of Arizona and Betty Ayers of Sand Branch and many nieces and nephews. Graveside rites and committal service will be on Sunday, January 5, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at Pax Community Cemetery with Rev. Ed McNeely officiating. Burial will follow.
