Rudolph "Rudy" D. Arthur

Rudolph "Rudy" Damon Arthur, 82, of Bradley, WV died on Sunday, October 19, 2008 at his home. Born August 03, 1926 at Oswald, WV he was the son of the late Golden William and Esther Marie Reid Arthur. Ruby attended the the Maple Fork Baptist Church. He was a retired carpenter and was a US Army veteran. He was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Jean Lloyd Arthur; brothers, Bill Arthur and Shirley Gene Arthur and a sister, Betty Arthur Johnson. Survivors include two sons, Rudy Arthur of Grandview and Robert Arthur of Bradley; two daughters, Marie Tate of Maple Fork and Donice Gernhardt of Bradley; one brother, Harold Arthur of Piney View and two sisters, Geneva Gilliam of Mount Hope and Lodema Clay of Beckley. Also surviving are five grandchildren, James Tate, Jr, Joseph Tate, Jason Arthur, Sarah Keeling and Michael Gernhardt and four great grandchildren. Services will be on Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home in Mount Hope. with Rev. Robert Barley officiating. Burial will be at Arthur/Reid Cemetery, Prosperity WV. Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 22, 2008 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM.
