Ruby Mae Payne

Ruby Mae Smith Payne, 80, of Murfreesboro, TN formerly of Dothan, WV died on Saturday, July 08, 2006 at Community Care Center in Murfreesboro, TN. Born December 06, 1925 at McAlpin, WV she was the daughter of the late Frank and Flora Della (Smith) Smith. Mrs. Payne was a member of the Dothan Community Church and a homemaker. A brother, Floyd Smith and two sisters, Grace Proctor and Myrna Nasser-Ryan preceded her in death. She is survived and will be sadly missed by her loving husband of 60 years, Billy Payne; one daughter, Billie Jo Josovitz of Murfreesboro, TN, one grandaughter, Sarah Carin Josovitz of Murfreesboro; two sisters, Gladys Marie Souk of Mount Hope, WV and Rose "Debbie" Durham of Arlington, VA; three brothers, Earl Smith of Oak Hill, WV, Estel Smith of Dothan, WV and Larry Smith of Asbury, WV and by many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill on Wednesday, July 12, 2006, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Services will be on Wednesday, July 12, 2006 at 2:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill with Rev. Lum Toney officiating. Entombment will be at High Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum, Oak Hill WV. Friends and family will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Dothan Community Church, c/o Betty Peters, Rt 1 Box 244, Scarbro WV 25917.
