Ruby Bruno Dooley, 85, of Gatewood, WV went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 13, 2005 at Hidden Valley Healthcare Center in Oak Hill, WV after a long illness surrounded by loved ones. Born January 22, 1919 at Kingston, WV she was the daughter of the late Frank V. and Rosie Zallia Toney Bruno. Mrs. Dooley was a long time member of the Harvey Chapel United Methodist Church, Rt 1 Fayetteville, WV and was a homemaker. She loved and enjoyed spending time with her family and her church family. Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, William Rexford "Rex" Dooley, Jr. in 1990; son, Richard "Ricky" Dooley; daughter, Carol Purdue; sister, Gladys Cody and a stepson, Kenneth Dooley.. Survivors include daughter, Dorothy Owens and husband, Bill, of Lewisburg; sons, Raymond Butler and wife, Lonie, of Oak Hill; stepson, Jerry Dooley and wife, Nora, of Oak Hill; son, William "Bill" Dooley and wife, Joyce, of Oak Hill; daughter, Betty Castleman of Grand Rapids, MI; daughter, Sherry Painter and husband, Danny, of Oak Hill; daughter, Karen Lefevers and husband, David, of Roanoke, VA; and sister, Maggie Pennock of Oak Hill. She is also survived by 21 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, 15 step great grandchildren and 6 step great great grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home on Saturday, January 15, 2005, from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. Services will be on Sunday, January 16, 2005, at 2:00 pm at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill with Pastors Jerry Dooley, Ronnie Persinger and Jerry Bush officiating. Entombment will be at High Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum, Oak Hill WV. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to Harvey Chapel United Methodist Church, Rt 1 Box 277, Fayetteville WV 25840 or the charity of your choice.
