Ruby Mae Cantley

Ruby Mae Cantley, 75, of Oak Hill died Saturday, April 2, 2005 at her home following a long illness. Born January 6, 1930 at Ramsey, she was the daughter of the late Nathan Robert and Mattie Ann Sorrell Hess. Mrs. Cantley was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold Cantley; and two brothers, Lacy Hess and Robert Sorrell. Survivors include six sons, Russell Cantley of Rt.1 Fayetteville, Danny Cantley, Bob Cantley and Herby Cantley all of Blue Ridge Summitt, PA., David Cantley and Bruce Cantley both of Oak Hill; three daughters, Marty Hewitt of Fairfield, PA., Libby Moore of Hattiesburg, MS, Debbie Cumbow of Oak Hill; one brother, Nathan Hess of Brunswick, OH.; nine grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, and 28 great great grandchildren. Services 2:00 PM Tuesday at Tyree Funeral Home Chapel, Oak Hill with Rev. V. R. Chittum officiating. Burial will follow in Hurt-Cantley Cemetery at Sanger. Friends may call at the funeral home from 12:30 PM until 2:00 PM at the funeral home on Tuesday. Pallbearers will be Troy Hewitt, Bobby Sanders, Phillip Hayner, Charles Ackers, Justin Johnson and Daivd Cantley II.
