Roxie Toney Newhouse

Roxie Newhouse, 68, of Scarbro, WV passed away at home on Saturday, December 8, 2007 following a long illness. Born March 28, 1939, at Roanoke, VA, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Grace Dent Blankenship. Roxie was a former clerk for Little General in Crab Orchard. She was a member of the Wriston First Church of God. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, William F. Toney, Sr. and James Newhouse and one daughter, Cindy Lou Wriston Thompson. Survivors include her son, William F. Toney, Jr. of Scarbro; two grandsons, Michael Wriston and Aaron Wriston two granddaughters, Angel Wriston and Kristen Manning; four great-grandchildren, Cody, Caleb, Hallie and JoJo. Services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, December, 12, 2007 at Tyree Funeral Home Chapel, Oak Hill with Rev. Arthur Campbell officiating. Burial will follow at Payne Cemetery, Johnson Branch at Kincaid, WV. Friends may call from 10 until 11 AM Wednesday at the funeral home.
