Roxie Hall Blevins

Roxie Lou Hall Blevins, 70, of Piney View, WV died on Thursday, April 14, 2005 at the Appalachian Regional Hospital in Beckley, WV following a long illness. Born March 30, 1935 at Fayetteville, WV she was the daughter of the late Howard and Catherine Ida O'Dell Hall. Mrs. Blevins was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Beckley and a homemaker. Roxie was a member of the Women of the Moose, Beckley since 1976 and had served as an officer and received the College Regent and other degrees. She was a foster parent for 13 years and was named West Virginia Foster Parent of the Year in 1976. Survivors include her husband of 43 years, Burford Arlen Blevins; one daughter, Debra Lou Hart and husband, Allan, of Fayetteville; and a foster-son, Ronald Lee Willis of Canvas. Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill on Saturday, April 16, 2005, from 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM. Services will be on Sunday, April 17, 2005, at 2:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill with Rev. Bill Menefee officiating. Burial will be at Hall Family Cemetery, Pleasant View Road, Gatewood WV. Family members will serve as pallbearers.
