Rosalie Carr

Rosalie Crislip Carr, 73, of Oak Hill, WV died on Tuesday, May 26, 2009 at Appalachian Regional Hospital in Beckley, WV. Born April 27, 1936 at Glendon, WV she was the daughter of the late Aubrey and Easter Miller Crislip. Mrs. Carr attended the Summerlee Baptist Church and was a homemaker. Four brothers, Oran, Cecil, Daril and Clayton Crislip and a sister, Olive Crislip, preceded her in death. Survivors include her husband, Melbourne Carr; three sons, Darius Carr and wife, Debra of Fayetteville, Eugene Carr and wife, Cindy of Oak Hill and Bruce Carr and wife, Carrie of Fayetteville and two daughters, Patricia Adkins and husband, Dale of Oak Hill and Melody Sumpter and husband, William of Oak Hill. She also survived by eleven grandchildren, Darius Carr, Jr., Bryant Carr, Elizabeth Hamilton, Jeremy Adkins, Jr., Daniel Adkins, David Adkins, Amanda Brown, Michael Sumpter, Chris Parker, Danny Parker and Amber Miller and thirteen great grandchildren. Services will be on Friday, May 29, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill with Rev. Paul Allen officiating. Burial will be at High Lawn Memorial Park in Oak Hill. Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home on Thursday, May 28, 2009 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM. Grandchildren, Darius Carr, Jr., Bryant Carr, Daniel Adkins, Jeremy Adkins, Michael Sumpter and Danny Parker will serve as pallbearers.
