Ronald R. Berry, Sr.

Ronald R. Berry , Sr., 61, of Rt 1 Fayetteville, WV died on Saturday, December 20, 2008 at his home. Born June 01, 1947 at Lawton, WV he was the son of the late Ira C. and Mae V. Jones Berry. He was a retired locomotive assemblyman for General Motors. He was a member of the U.A.W. in LaGrange, Il. Mr. Berry was a US Army veteran of the Vietnam Conflict and was a recipient of a Bronze Star and Purple Heart. Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Alice F. Jenkins Berry; one son, Ronald R. Berry, Jr. of Chicago, Il.; one daughter, Amanda M. Berry of Oak Hill; brothers and sisters, Barbara Brooks and husband, Junior of Beckley, Jane Fernatt and husband, Lonnie of Meadow Bridge, Roger Berry and wife, Brenda of Rock Lick, Randy Berry and wife, Connie of Minden, Darlene Humphrey and husband, Roger of Hilltop and Drema Atkins and husband, Larry of Robson and two grandchildren, Alayna Scarbro and Aden Scarbro both of Oak Hill Graveside rites and committal service will be on Saturday, December 27, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Prosperity with Rev. Wayne Nutter officiating. Burial will be at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
