Roger D. Walters , 63, of Fayetteville, WV died on Tuesday, June 09, 2009 at Appalachian Regional Hospital in Beckley, WV. Born November 15, 1945 at Mount Hope, WV he was the son of the late Ottie J. and Ruth Walters. He was a former coal miner. Roger had been a resident of Sheltering Arms Nursing Home for the past 12 years. Brothers, Donald C. Walters, Ottie J. Walters, Jr., Roger D. Walters and Frank Walters and sisters, Drema Higley, Doris Walters and Nancy Smith preceded him in death. He is survived by several nieces and nephews. Graveside rites and burial was held on Friday, June 12, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Oak Hill with Rev. William Slates officiating.
