Roger Lee Scarbro , 61, of Minden, WV died on Sunday, August 10, 2014 at Appalachian Regional Hospital in Beckley, WV.
Born February 27, 1953 at Oak Hill, WV he was the son of the late Huey and Anna Mae Miller Scarbro.
He was a member of the Minden Missionary Baptist Church.
Roger had been employed with Terry Lilly Construction and Peabody Coal at Kopperston.
A sister, Louella Ross preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Anita Lynn Cox Scarbro; two sons, Michael Scarbro and wife, Nikki of Fayetteville and Roger Scarbro, Jr. and wife, Tonya of Lochgelly; one sister, Sharon Kay Hamrick of Lewisburg and nine grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM on Thursday, August 14, 2014 at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill with Pastor Roy Richards officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Cales Family Cemetery in Sandstone.
Family and friends will service as pallbearers.
