Rodger "Blue" Cochran

Rodger Dale "Blue" Cochran, 55, of Mount Hope, WV passed away on Sunday, January 18, 2004 at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Beckley, WV following a short illness. Born November 07, 1948 at Packs Branch, WV he was the son of the late William "Bill" Cochran, Sr. and Velda Bennett Cochran. "Blue" will be remembered for his great sense of humor and his love for everyone. He served in the US Navy having attained the rank of Seaman and was a laborer. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Brian Wheatley. Survivors include Daughter, Lani Wearhy of Fayetteville, NC and a grandson, Brent Wheatley of Fayetteville, NC. He is also survived by sisters, Judy Webb and husband, Don, of Gibsonville, NC; Crystal Brewer and husband, Danny, of Folly Beach, SC; a brother, William "Billy" Cochran, Jr. and wife, Kathy, of Mount Hope; a special caring aunt, Beulah Hewlett of Mount Hope, with whom her made his home and by several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews and many special caring friends in Mount Hope. Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home, Mount Hope on Wednesday, January 21, 2004, from 12:00 noon to 1:00 pm. Services will be on Wednesday, January 21, 2004 at 1:00 pm at Tyree Funeral Home, Mount Hope with Rev. Sam Vance officiating. Burial will be at Williams-Argabright Cemetery, Packs Branch WV.
