Roberta Marie Abercrombie Keeney , 66, of Oak Hill, WV died on Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley, WV.
Born January 20, 1946 at Brownsville, PA she was the daughter of the late Leon Abercrombie and Nellie Marie Genbauffe Abercrombie Cadman
Mrs. Keeney was a Special Education Teacher for the Fayette County Board of Education having taught at Valley, Meadow Bridge, Oak Hill and Mount Hope Elementary schools.
She attended the Summerlee Presbyterian Church where she played the piano and also attended the Oak Hill Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Benjamin Franklin Keeney, one daughter, Opal Jean Marie Keeney Webb and husband, Cecil Dwayne of Beckley, and three sisters, Alice Jean Cadman Hallberg of Hurst, TX, Leona L. Abercrombie Harris of Washington, PA and Louise Agnes Abercrombie Corbett of California, PA
Mrs. Keeney was cremated. A memorial service will be on Sunday, March 25, 2012 at 4:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill with Rev. Janice Tiedeck officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Sunday at the funeral home.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the family.
