Robert N. Smith

Robert Nelson Smith, 91, of Rt 1 Fayetteville, WV died on Wednesday, May 02, 2007 at Hidden Valley Nursing and Rehab Center in Oak Hill, WV. Born March 02, 1916 at Lanark, WV he was the son of the late Henry Lee and Pearl Biggs Smith. He was a retired Police Officer for the Cook County, IL Park Police. Mr. Smith was a member of the Apostolic Holiness Church, Oak Hill, WV. He was preceded in death by his son, Carl Douglas Smith and sisters, Lucille Howard and Evelyn Isenogle. Survivors include his wife, Delphia Virginia Fitzwater Smith; sons: Robert Nelson Smith, Jr. of Hermitage, TN, Wesley Gene Smith of Kenosha, WI, Rev. C.W. Smith of Fayetteville, WV and Carlos Woodrow Smith of Island Lake, IL; one daughter: Carol Lee Lewis of Oak Hill, WV; sister: Wilda Burdette of Baltimore, MD; fifteen grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, one great great grandchild and one great great great grandchild. Visitation will be held at Apostolic Holiness Church, Oak Hill on Friday, May 4, 2007, from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM. Services will be on Saturday, May 5, 2007 at 1:00 P.M. at Apostolic Holiness Church in Oak Hill. with Rev. Carlos Lewis and Rev. Lewis Wooten officiating. Burial will be at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill WV.
