Robert "Bob" Shaver

Robert “Bob” Shaver, 64, of Arcadia, Fla. went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, September 1, 2010 after a short illness. Bob was born May 14, 1946 in Morris, W.Va. the son of the late George Chester and Agnes McQueen Shaver. He was a devoted Christian man who wanted nothing more than to serve God, be a good father, and to help anyone he could. Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing on the boat with his sister Penny and spending time with his family. He was a member of the Revolution Church of Arcadia. A sister, Frances Williams and two grandchildren preceded him in death. Bob was a wonderful father, grandfather, brother and friend to everyone. He is survived by three brothers and three sisters, George C. (Carol) Shaver, Jr. of Arcadia, Ronnie (Sheila) Shaver of Arcadia, Larry (Donna) Shaver of Arcadia, Drema (Ed) Crocker of Sarasota, Fla., Judy (Lee) Buckland of Scarbro, W. Va., and Penny Shaver of Sarasota; brother-n-law Perry Williams of Sarasota; five children, Robert (Carrie) Shaver, Jr. of Arcadia, Lori (Glenn) Shaver-Myers of Beckley, Terry (Heather) Shaver of Arcadia, Leiha Shaver of Beckley and Alexandra Shaver of Beckley; nine grandchildren and his fiancee, Debbie Joyner. Mr. Shaver was cremated. A memorial service will be held at 5:00 PM on Monday, September 13, 2010 at the New Beginnings Church of God in Glen Jean.
