Robert Alan Logan

Our wonderful father, son, brother, husband, uncle and friend, Robert Alan Logan , 68, of Orlando, FL formerly of Oak Hill, WV died on Saturday, July 04, 2015 at his home after a long courageous battle with cancer. Alan was caring, loving, compassionate, and fun-loving. His playful jokes will truly be missed.
Born May 28, 1947 at Pax, WV he was the son of Rosebud Foster Logan of Oak Hill, WV and the late Rev. Andrew Jackson "Jack" Logan, Jr.
Alan served in the US Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a 1965 graduate of Collins High School in Oak Hill.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Thomas H. and Addie Sowder Foster; his paternal grandparents, A.J. Logan, Sr. and Maud Hill Logan and a brother, Andrew Byron Logan.
In addition to his loving mother, Alan is survived by his wife, Bonny Gayle Logan; sons, Robert Alan Logan, II and wife, Jessica of Alpharetta, GA and Andrew David Logan and wife, Jessica of Lilburn, GA; daughter, Amber Nicole Logan of Tampa, FL; sister, Carolyn Rose Logan Benda and husband, Bruce of Oak Hill; grandchildren, Jaida Francis, Dexton Logan, Holt Logan and Lando Logan; niece, Sarah-Elaine Benda Jarrett and husband, Mark of Huntington; nephew, Jeremy Bruce Benda of Birmingham, AL; many cousins, aunts, and uncles; and five step children.
Graveside rites and committal service will be on Saturday, July 11, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at High Lawn Memorial Park in Oak Hill with Rev. David Sneed officiating with military graveside rites by the Braxton County American Legion #33 Honor Guard. Burial will follow.
Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill on Saturday, July 11, 2015 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM.
