Robert "Bobby Joe" James

Robert "Bobby Joe" James , 63, of Page, WV went to play music with the angels on Thursday, July 17, 2014 at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley, WV. after a short battle with cancer.
Born May 18, 1951 at Laurel Creek, WV he was the son of the late Robert M. and Cordie K. Nutter James.
A brother; son, Justin Jay James and a granddaughter preceded him in death.
He survived by his loving family which include his wife and companion of 28 years, Mary Elswick James; sons, James Joseph James and Jason Jarvis James of North Carolina; daughters, Sandra Lynn Propps of Ingram Branch and Ivy Charlene Withrow of Scarbro; four sisters; twelve grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and many more family and friends.
Mr. James donated his body to the Human Gift Registry. A memorial service will be on Saturday, July 26, 2014 at 3:00 P.M. at the Loop Creek Baptist Church in Wriston with Rev. Ronnie Persinger officiating.
There will be a benefit concert for the American Cancer Society in memory of Bobby Joe on Saturday August 2, 2014 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Lewis Community Center (the old Armory) on Central Avenue in Oak Hill featuring of his band, "Pullin Covers" with his nephew, Mikie James..
