Robert L. Green

Robert Lee Green, 91, of Hilltop, WV formerly of Raleigh County, WV died on Thursday, February 21, 2008 at Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley, WV. Born August 27, 1916 at Eccles, WV he was the son of the late Joshua and Mamie Wilson Green. Mr. Green was a retired coal miner. He was a World War II US Army veteran. Robert was the last suriving member of his immediate family having been preceded in death by several brothers and sisters including Grace, Minnie and Annie L. , John, George and Fred. Survivors include his friend and caregiver, Carl Dick of Hilltop, WV Graveside rites and committal services will be on Saturday, February 23, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens in Oak Hill with burial to follow. There will be no visitation.
