Rita Humphrey Turner

Rita Jean Humphrey Turner, 66, of Beckley, WV died on Friday, January 08, 2010 at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley, WV. Born June 03, 1943 at Carlisle, WV she was the daughter of the late Roy Odie and Lucy Jane Treadway Humphrey. She retired from the VA Medical Center Canteen with 22 years service. Mrs. Turner was a member of the Church of God. Two brothers, Aubrey Humphrey and Lloyd Humphrey and two sisters, Irene Price and Rosalie Treadway preceded her in death. Survivors include one brother, Ted Humphrey of Beckley; two sisters, Mabel Price of Oak Hill and Joann Pannell of Beckley and several nieces and nephews. Services will be on Sunday, January 10, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill with Rev. Lum Toney officiating. Burial will be at Dock Lively Cemetery, Long Branch. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Sunday at the funeral home. Nephews will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Bowers Hospice House, 454 Cranberry Drive, Beckley WV 25801.
